Lake Manyara-Serengeti

Your first
stop this
morning
is at
Olduvai
Gorge.
Resembling
a long,
dry trench,
the Gorge
is a veritable
archaeological
treasure-trove.

sifting
through
hundreds
of fossils
before
uncovering
the “homo
habilis” (Handy
Man),

back more
than 1.6
million
years.

the crater

a rich

carnivores
like lion,
hyenas
and leopard

crater.

kori bustard
(the world's
largest
flying
bird)
to see
if you

its elaborate
territorial
display

breeding
